Day to day description

Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your experienced Tanzania safari guide will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. As you journey towards your hotel, you may spot scenic landscapes along the way, offering a great start to your Tanzania safari adventure.

Feel free to ask your guide to stop for closer views or additional information about the Tanzania wildlife you encounter. After checking in at the hotel, enjoy some relaxation before a delightful dinner, preparing for the exciting safari experiences ahead.

After breakfast at the lodge, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, a must-see on any Tanzania safari. With a packed lunch, you’ll embark on a game drive through the park’s open woodlands, encountering a variety of wildlife near the Tarangire River, the park’s only permanent water source.

Tarangire is home to unique species like gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx, providing excellent opportunities for Tanzania wildlife viewing. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the day’s incredible experiences in this beautiful park.

These tribes, known for their hunter-gatherer lifestyle, offer an unforgettable cultural experience as you explore their classless communities and unique tools.

After interacting with the tribes, you’ll visit Lake Eyasi, home to millions of flamingos, attracted by its rich supply of crustaceans. Following your lake visit, return to your lodge for lunch and enjoy the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the tranquility before dinner.

After breakfast, you’ll begin your journey to Serengeti National Park, a 4-hour drive from Karatu through lush hills and expansive lowlands. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your camp, enjoy a delicious lunch, and take time to unwind.

In the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive where your guide will lead you to the best wildlife viewing spots, whether it’s the hippo pool to observe these giant creatures or witnessing the breathtaking wildebeest migration. After a day full of incredible sightings, you’ll return to the Camp around 17:30 for a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll set off on a thrilling full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, with the option to add a hot air balloon safari for a Champagne breakfast amidst the vast plains. Explore the stunning kopjes—volcanic rock formations that provide shelter to diverse wildlife—while enjoying unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities in this rich ecosystem.

Serengeti, famous for the Great Migration, is home to a variety of predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, offering exceptional sightings. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with panoramic views before returning to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
